Our purpose
Spiritual Suruchi brings lesser-known stories from the Puranas, Upanishads, Mahabharata, Ramayana and India’s devotional and narrative traditions to a contemporary audience. The aim is respectful storytelling—not religious instruction, academic translation or a claim that one retelling is the only possible version.
Research and sources
We identify the scripture, narrative tradition or devotional lineage whenever the source is known. Many traditional stories exist in regional recensions and later retellings; meaningful variations may therefore occur. We avoid presenting a later interpretation as a direct quotation from an ancient text.
Writing and narration
Scripts, narration, editorial framing and story selection are prepared for Spiritual Suruchi. Dr Suruchi Joshi directs and narrates the stories; Ananya Joshi contributes production, content development and sound design. Explanatory text on this website is written to add context to the original video presentation.
Cinematic and AI-assisted imagery
Visuals are artistic interpretations created to evoke a setting, emotion or spiritual idea. Production may include AI-assisted image or video tools alongside human direction, selection, editing and sound design. These images are not presented as archaeological evidence, historical photographs or authoritative depictions of divine beings.
Respectful representation
We aim to use respectful names and honorifics, modest visual representation and language appropriate to sacred figures and traditions. We welcome good-faith corrections concerning names, sources, chronology or cultural context.
Corrections
When a meaningful factual or attribution error is confirmed, we aim to correct the website text and, where practical, clarify the video description or related publication. Minor stylistic changes may be made without a formal correction notice.
Independence and advertising
Advertising, if introduced, will not determine which stories are selected or how they are interpreted. Sponsored or paid material will be labelled clearly. Editorial content will remain visually distinguishable from advertisements.
